****SOLD**** RARE Factory Winchester Model 1906 Expert Model "Half Nickel" .22 rimfire pump rifle. This Winchester 1906 Expert is 100% original except for the barrel, which is a Winchester factory replacement. This can be determined by the circle"P" proof just ahead of the receiver rather than the circle "WP" that the original barrel would have had when it left the factory. Given that these little .22 rifles were generally heavily used and the pride and joy of many youths getting into shooting, there is no telling how the original barrel was damaged, only that it was replaced by a Winchester factory 1906 barrel. The original factory Nickel finish on the receiver, bolt, and tangs is still in good condition, the original factory special Gumwood stock set is in good condition overall, and the original buttplate and hardware is still intact. All of the factory markings are still clean and legible, and what parts are serial-numbered are matching. The bore in this Expert model is mirror-bright and in excellent condition. The action is smooth, slick, and in perfect working order. Tha hammer still has both the safety position and full-cock positions intact, and the bolt locks up tight to the receiver just as it was designed to. This Winchester 1906 Expert shuld function just as well today as when it left the factory over 116 years ago.
