Serial No. 181009, made in 1915, .45acp, 6"" barrel. 60% blue remains with the rest of the revolver thinning to a a brown/grey patina. Bore is in very good plus condition with slight frosting noted at the muzzle. The left side of the barrel is inscribed with ""W.D. Beddie"" Beddie resigned his commission in 1914 with the 3rd Batt Seaforth Highlanders and was then commissioned again with the 4th Gordon Highlanders from June 8th 1917 to October 23rd 1917 where he was entitled to a Silver War badge. This badge was given to to soldiers who were honorably discharged due to wounds or sickness. Previous seller states the family put his name on the revolver after the war. It is noted that this revolver also has the 1955 British proof mark with ""ENGLAND"" this was probably added for export. CONSIGNMENT
