Serial No. 1679, circa 1903, .455 Cordite, 6"" Army & Navy C.S.L. marked barrel. 90% original blue remains with scattered grey patina noted. Bore is good with frosting visible in the strong rifling. Checkered Brown grips show light wear. Records indicate this Fosbery was issued to 2nd Lt. H. Stevenson who would serve in the Indian Army mostly with the Supply and Transport Corps. Stevenson would rise to the Ranks of Major and would be mentioned 6 times in Dispatches for Bravery! A copy of these dispatches are included. Action functions correctly.
