Serial No. 4229 circa 1901-1904, .455 Cordite, 7.5"" barrel with ""Major C.R. Harding. Adjutant 14th S. Royal Warwickshire Regiment 1st Birmingham June 1915"" This inscription covers the barrel and over the top strap! This is very unusual. 95% arsenal refurbished finish is present. Bore and wooden checkered grips are near excellent. Major Harding would receive the Military Cross for his services. After serving 18 months in the field, Major Harding would be transferred to No. 30 Ambulance train for High Fever at the age of 28 years old. Action functions correctly with a tight lock up!
