Serial No. 6859, made in 1898, .30-40 Krag, 28"" round barrel. Barrel is starting to thin to a grey patina, Receiver is ""U.S"" marked with inspector mark noted on the bolt. Receiver is a grey/brown patina, original blue remains in protected areas. Stock is in very good plus condition with expected nicks, dings and scratches visible. Bore is shows oxidation in the grooves with strong rifling visible. Action is tight and functions correctly. Under rated Spanish American War Era Winchester!
