Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
The CZ 457 Varmint Precision Chassis was intended to be used in the precision rimfire rifle competitions that have been gaining in popularity over the last few years. In addition, it is perfectly suited for dealing with varmints having the necessary accuracy and control to hit such small targets at respectable distances. The rifle features a 16.5″ heavy barrel without open sights, but with an 11mm dovetail groove for mounting a scope. An Area 419 30MOA scope base has been mounted. The base includes an integral bubble level at the back. The base itself is of T7075 aluminum and is machined by Area 419 in-house using their Haas VF4SS 4-axis machining center. The base is designed to slide onto the dovetail and be clamped down with a force that is consistent across the entire rail. It is intended for shooters pushing their .22 LRs out to 300 yards or more. The 457 Varmint Precision Chassis is chambered for the classic .22 LR. It uses a detachable 5-round box magazine; however, 10-round magazines have also been made for the 457. The stock was designed in-house by CZ and is intended to allow the rifle to achieve exceptional accuracy. The barrel has a diameter of 0.862 inches. Like the stock, the heavy barrel should also provide a high degree of inherent accuracy for the rifle, though as always, the shooter must still do their part. The muzzle is threaded for use with a suppressor, a very helpful feature when dealing with varmints. The rifle here is previously owned but is in practically new condition. The bolt feels like it has not been operated all that much. Trigger pull is clean and light. The bore is in superb shape. The stock fulfills its intended function extremely well and feels natural when put to the shoulder while utilizing the Luth-AR cheek rest. There is one small nick in the fore end on the left-hand side. Please see the pictures. The 457 Varmint Precision Chassis is an excellent rifle and with a good scope it should be the perfect dual-purpose precision rimfire/varmint rifle.
