A late “Remington” Parker made in 1936 this gun is listed in the Parker Gun identification book as a G grade, hammerless, 20 gauge with 28” barrels. This gun is as listed above with the 28” solid rib “Special steel” barrels having chokes of: .007” & .011” which equates to IC/light Mod. Double triggers, extractors, automatic safety are standard features. The factory game scene engraved receiver is an “O” frame, ideal for the 20 gauge. Although, not as listed in the book, this gun has an English/straight hand stock with a 14” LOP over an old Hawkins recoil pad. The book listed the stock as a capped pistol grip which, because of the trigger guard style I would agree that this gun originally had! The forearm is a Beaver tail which may or may not be original to the gun. I will venture a guess to say that both the forearm and the stock were replaced, but I also think that they were factory replaced! The stock has a 1 9/16” DAC and a 2 7/16” DAH with neutral cast. Condition wise this GH 20 has shiny/bright bores, the gun is tight on face, crisp triggers and all around “solid”. Cosmetically it is a nice shooter. The barrels have about 85% faded blue. Few traces of case colors, but the action has not been polished or buffed, so the engraving is all sharp and vivid. The screws, for the most part, are excellent with the exceptions being the trigger guard screw and the top tang screw (under the top lever). Weight is 6 lbs. 15 oz. and like almost all Parkers it feels great between the hands. One last thing: The trigger guard has the name: Gordon Fisher engraved on it! $4,250.00 SN: 239124 SOLD |
