"Serial number 73016. Made in 1857. 36 caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. This is an exceptional example of a Martial Colt 1851 Navy. This gun has over 90% of the original blue on the barrel. The frame has bright vivid case colors. The grips are excellent with sharp cartouches. The cylinder has toned into a dark brown patina. This gun is all matching. The frame has the small “U.S." The rest of the gun has small military inspectors marks throughout. This gun is a Navy contract with the anchor marking on the left hand side of the barrel lug. Very fine all original Martial Colt 1851 Navy!
