New items added daily! Description: This is a beautiful example of a mid-production DWM Model 1902 Luger carbine that is complete with it's original matching walnut shoulder stock. Approximately 2,500 were manufactured. All these early carbines exhibit the very desirable early features such the long frame, flat mainspring, grip safety, dished toggles, toggle lock on the right side, recessed/flat breech bolt, and flat straw colored extractor. One of the most unique features is the 11 3/4 inch carbine barrel with a detachable checkered forearm. The underside of the barrel is fitted with a small lug that engages a small spring actuator located inside the forearm that helps to cycle the heavier carbine barrel during firing. No other Luger has this feature. The top of the chamber has the American Eagle crest, and the front toggle has the standard DWM logo. Fitted with the correct 3-position rear sight (adjustable from 100-300 meters) and a small ramp front sight base fitted with a bead front sight. The full serial number is correctly marked on the frame extension and barrel underside. The last digits of the serial number are discretely marked on the various parts in the correct commercial manner. Fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips with matching serial. It is complete with an original matching numbered walnut shoulder stock that has a fine checkered pattern in the grip area and horn buttplate. Comes with one original commercial magazine with a correct unnumbered wood base. Matching number on the forend. The pistol appears to be in near-mint condition but we believe it's a high quality restoration from many years ago as there is pitting under the blue on the front strap. The bore has very strong rifling but wasn't well cared for as there is pitting throughout. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Handgun Caliber: 7.65x22mm Parabellum (7.65x22mm Luger, .30 Luger) |
