Also known as "space gun" due to the positioning of its rear sight on the back of the barrel and the overall resemblance to the "space guns" seen in the movies of that era, this was High Standard flagship gun in the early 60s. It was finished in deep high gloss blue with a thumbrest checkered grips. Very few were sold as high end target sets with fitted wood boxes from the factory. This particular gun retains over 99% of its original blue with just a few specks of "box wear" here and there - on the sides of the removable muzzle break and on one of the the weights. The grips are in great shape with just a few specks of wear. Bore is pristine. The set comes with some original ear plugs, cleaning patches, Allen wrench for the weights, muzzle break and a combination tool. There are 2 mags total: one blued and one stainless. The box is in great shape as well with no defects that I can see aside from a few minuscule spots of wear. It has a nice High standard logo on the inside of the lid. The barrel length is a desirable 8 inch. It does not seem like the gun was shot much at all. You would be hard pressed to find a better example. 3-day inspection. FFL or C&R(where allowed) $50 insured shipping in Conus. Layaway is available. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
