Description:
For sale is a non-matching BNZ (Steyr) Mauser with no rune. The overall condition is very good, but please see the images to assess its condition for yourself. It retains a great deal of its bluing with no significant scratches and no buggered fittings. The wood has the usual dings from a military service. The only thing that stands out to me is a weird coating or varnish of sorts on the stock that I am confident is not period correct. However, if you look at the "9504" and "S" stampings it does not appear to have been sanded at all. All together it's a mixmaster collection, but the bayonet is in similar condition and has similar numbers if they remotely correlate in the first place. The bore is dark, but the rifling is definite. When I inherited the rifle I ran a patch down it, and it came up clean. I believe my father bought it from his local store simply because it was a solid and clean example of a K98. I am not knowledgable on the many variety of military Mausers out there, so I tried to supply sufficient pictures of any markings and its overall condition.
