"Serial number 9538. Made circa 1873-1876. 30RF caliber with a 3" barrel. The metal has a mottled gray patina with some pitting. The left hand side of the plate has a spurious Wells Fargo inscription. The back strap is inscribed “C. W. Banks" which is a correct period inscription.
