Springfield Armory M1 Garand .30-06 rifle. This is an "Expert Grade" package from the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program). No import marks. The gun has a new Criterion barrel and a new stock. Receiver serial number dates to 1945. Other marked parts are mixed manufacturers, some WW2 era and others postwar. See spec details below.
These guns ordinarily come with no finish on the wood stock, the previous owner applied a light coat of oil/varnish, it has a very nice appearance.
The rifle has been test fired and shoots perfectly, it cycled through a clip with no issues.
The M1 includes a CMP certificate of authenticity, hang tag, manual and heavy duty case. Also a sling and two M1 clips (no ammo).

SPECS:
Receiver: Springfield Armory, serial number 3770492, dates to March-June 1945. Marked D28291 on receiver leg. There is an area of discoloration on the right top of the receiver, seen in photos, this is not pitting or rust.
Op Rod: Springfield, marked D3582 SA, postwar production
Bolt: Winchester, marked D28287-1 WRA
Trigger Group: Springfield Armory, marked 6528290-SA, postwar production
Hammer: Springfield Armory, marked SA D5546008, postwar production
Barrel: Criterion, .30-06, new production, dated 2/22. Gauges TE=0 ME=0
Stock: new, with CMP stamp on left side. Lightly varnished, nice appearance with just a few handling marks.
Extras: New canvas sling, manual, CMP certificate and blue hang tag, two M1 clips (no ammo)
