Description:
Two of the most iconic lever action rifle cartridges developed during the late 1800 were the 45-90 Winchester Center Fire (WCF) and 45-70 Government. This antique lever action Winchester rifle manufactured in 1890, is chambered in the Rocky Mountain favorite and powerful 45-90 Winchester Center Fire cartridge and was designed by the legendary firearms designer John Moses Browning, who had a prolific relationship with Winchester from the 1880s to the early 1900s. The condition is very good with barrel and magazine retaining 40% blue mixed with patina. The receiver retains traces of case colors in protected areas with balance having turned to dove grey. The stocks are very good with period of use bruises and impressions and a small cut out at comb for used with long range tang sight. The bore is very good and bright with some very light oxidation in grooves. The action operates properly. .45-90 WCF
