Very good used condition Marlin Model 336-A rifle, "Waffle Top" (factory-done non-glare matting to top of receiver), in caliber 30-30 Winchester, 24" round barrel, 2/3 magazine, plain walnut stocks, plain pistol grip, plain trigger, trademark Marlin Bullseye in toe line of butt stock, ramped front sight missing hood, Marble's open rear sight with correcty elevator, factory Marlin logo hard rubber butt pad, JM-marked barrel, factory drilled and tapped for peep sight mounting on left side of receiver. Receiver blue 90%. Barrel and mag blue 65% with some very light surface pin-pricking on the barrel that should clean off. Stocks are in excellent shape showing very little wear. Half cock safety functions properly. Excellent, bright bore with sharp rifling (Ballard type, not Micro-groove). Serial number puts date of manufacture at 1949 (F prefix). The "Waffle Top" design was only available for the first few years this model was produced, making them highly collectible.
