Description:
For your consideration, a Winchester model 12 Pigeon Grade chambered in 12 Gauge. This piece is engraved with Winchester's 12-2 scheme with scenes of a pointer afield and a grouse in flight at left and a pair of mallards landing in a marsh at right. The work is signed "PM" at bottom left corner of the pointer scene for Pauline Muerrle, Winchester's last in-house engraver and former apprentice of Nicolas Kusmit and Joe Crowley. This piece dates to 1950. 12 Gauge
