Description:
This Winchester Model 1886 manufactured in 1894 by you guessed it Winchester Repeating Arms of New Haven, Conn, and features a round 26" barrel with full magazine, smooth finished walnut stocks with crescent butt plate, and blue finished case colored receiver. Chambered in .40-82 Winchester Center Fire, one of the most prosperous calibers for big game and general purpose use of the era. The stocks are full sized with a lightly weathered appearance, and the bore is brilliant bright with strong rifling. The action is rock solid and operates as it was designed locking solidly, and is topped with what appears to be the original 2 tone front blade sight and with elevation adjustable rear notched sight. .40-82 WCF
