Description:
Serial #63827, .38 S&W, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1913-made revolver that has retained 95-97% of the original bright blue finish, with some mild silvering on a few of the high edges, as well as some scattered spots of freckling near the muzzle, along the gripstraps, and within the cylinder flutes. The hammer, trigger, and frame screws retain a commensurate amount of the original, bright nitre blue finish, with only very mild fading present, and the checkered, hard rubber grips are in excellent shape with only negligible wear and flattening of the points. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. The revolver is accompanied by a 2022-dated Colt factory letter that lists a shipping date of January 28, 1913, to Van Camp Hardware & Iron Co. of Indianapolis, IN as part of a four gun shipment. This is a remarkably well-preserved pre-WW1 Colt, and is in excellent overall condition. FFL or C&R
