Description:
One of the most beautiful and functionally solid Garands from my collection. Serial number 2573012. Late 1943 Springfield. Appears correct other than the bolt which has correct drawing number but an earlier heat lot number than expected. I tried to modify the title but was not able. Other than the bolt, all parts correct per Duff. Un cut SA 9 op rod re-built to new specs by Columbus Machine, 12/43 dated barrel that guages almost new at 1 to 1.5 for throat and muzzel, bright bore with no pitting or corrosion, lock bar rear sights, SA 12 trigger housing. Beautiful matching stock and handguards with no cracks or repairs. No pitting. Decent GAW cartouche and ordnance wheel. Perfect function and outstanding accuracy. Completely dissassembled, cleaned, new op rod spring added. 1943 dated 1907 leather sling in fair condition. NOT CMP. I purchased this rifle some years ago from another collector.
