Description:
he Henry® .45-70 is a hard-hitting, fast handling Lever-Action Rifle, with enough knock down power for big game hunting any species in North America. The Henry is constructed with a solid steel receiver with enough strength to handle all factory .45-70 ammunition that is manufactured for modern lever action rifles. The receiver has a solid top with side ejection and is drilled and tapped for a scope mount. There is no loading port on the side of the receiver as ammunition is loaded directly into the tubular magazine from the top. Henry utilizes an internal transfer bar safety that prevents hammer contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. The rifle cannot fire from being dropped onto the hammer, nor will it accidentally fire if the shooter's thumb slips from the hammer while cocking. (There is no manual cross-bolt safety or traditional half-cock notch for a safety.) The trigger pull is crisp and clean, allowing for fine accuracy. Comes with a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x32 scope, fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and bead front sight. The Henry .45-70 is an attractive Lever-Action Rifle, with a checkered American walnut stock, and steel-capped fore end. The barrel and receiver are matte blue. A rubber butt-pad helps absorb recoil and provides a non-slip weld on the shooter's shoulder. Sling swivel studs allow the attachments of a sling for ease of carry. The lines of the Henry rifle are traditionally American, as well as its design and the cartridge it fires. .45-70 Government
