Description:
Original Holster and belt in an 1880 Civilian style. This holster and belt are from the Old West. This classic rig with tooling makes for a showy outfit with its brass spots. A riveted on single loop style with an open toe. Made of medium weight russet colored leather, with a rolled on chain link design on the main pouch. This holster could be worn as right hand draw or cross draw. It fits a 1873 Colt Single Action Army with a 4 3/4 inch barrel perfectly. The leather is soft and pliable. It would be perfect for displaying with your original vintage Colt or you could just use it. All the stitches are strong and intact. A very nice, hardware store holster and belt. Vintage leather holster likely made for one of the well know hardware supply houses. This holster is in good condition no breaks or tears and the belt is likewise. Nice for the collector to show off his vintage Colt six gun. The holster is unmarked, but the belt is marked with 3 numbers 35 the catalog number, 32 the caliber and 42 the original size. The belt measures 34 inches to the center hole now no longer a 42 inches. It has been cut down at the buckle end. Oh, yes, I can't forget the brass spots. How did they get there? Well, a young waddy at the end of trail bought a new shirt, new boots, took a bath, got a nose full of "who hit John" and when up to "Roses Place". When he rolled out of there he had ten dollars and 4 cents left. So, he bought 4 cents worth of brass spots. It is a perfect fit for my 4 3/4 in. barrel Colt SAA but would service equally as well for a Colt Bisley 4 3/4", or a Colt 1878 D.A.. 4 3/4". To find one in good condition is a rarity. There are no loose or missing stitching. My Old six shooter and other Items are not included .
