Description:
For your consideration, a Dumoulin custom rifle chambered in .416 Rigby. Overall, this piece is a gorgeous rendition of a classic big game rifle. The heavy weight sporter profile barrel is appointed with a sleeved-on sling eye, gold bead ramped front sight, and one standing and two folding leaves calibrated for 60, 150, and 200 meters on a sleeved-on island base. For situations requiring greater visibility, the front sight features a flip-over white bead. The heart of this rifle is a Dumoulin double square magnum length Mauser 98 type action with jeweled bolt, extractor, and magazine follower. The bolt features a knurled handle and M70 style safety with gold-inlaid S-F markings. Extended to the grip cap, the bottom metal features an Oberndorf style release. Action, bolt shroud, and bottom metal are all finely engraved with near full coverage acanthus scroll with the lattermost bearing an inset of a cape buffalo. The work is signed, "B. Bara" on the top left sidewall of the receiver. Furniture consists of an ebony capped, marbled European walnut with three recoil bolts and a beaded cheekpiece. .416 Rigby
