Description:
"

Serial No. 75148, made April 1877, 45-70. 22"" round unproofed barrel, it is noted that some carbines with serial range 75,000 to 80,000 have been documented with unproofed barrels. It is believed this barrels have been arsenal rebarreled using unmarked barrels. Rear sight is the Model 1879 buckhorn sight and is ""C"" marked. Bore is excellent. Barrel and other iron parts are a grey/brown patina with blue and case coloring visible in protected areas. Stock is very good with expected nick, dings and gouges. Two click tumbler functions correctly.
