NSN, made in 1863 initially by Springfield, converted post Civil War. 50-70 Govt. 36.75"" round sleeved barrel. Bore is surprisingly bright with strong rifling noted. Breech is marked with ""Eagle/1866"" Lock plate is dated 1863, scattered oxidation is visible along the barrel and lock plate and is a grey patina. Stock looks to have been sanded some time ago. Action functions correctly.
