Description:
DWM 1906 Portuguese M2 Luger. This Luger is a toggle lock recoil operated semi-automatic pistol in .30 Luger Cal. It has a 4 5/8-inch barrel. A blade front sight and a notch rear sight. The grip is a diamond checkered hardwood. This pistol was manufactured specifically for the Royal Portuguese Army. There were approximately 5,000 made in total under this contract with this model being easily identified as the chamber area is marked with the "Royal Portuguese Crown/M2", which is the marking of Manuel II of Portugal. The front toggle is stamped with the DWM logo with the left side of the barrel extension and underside of the barrel stamped with a small triangle inside a circle, which is the Portuguese acceptance proof. It correctly has grip safety and no stock lug. The grips are checkered walnut versions and the magazine has a plastic base.
