*SOLD* Here's an original Winchester 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine in extremely rare 50 Express caliber! S/N 136150A made in 1905. Most of the original bluing and case colors have worn to a grey patina, but there is no observed rust or pitting anywhere. The wood is in good solid shape with moderate handling marks, but with no evidence of sanding or refinish and NO cracks. There is one notable dent on the left forearm as shown. 22" round barrel, full length mag, steel carbine buttplate. Rear sight appears correct with flip up arm and elevation slide. All mechanical functions seem to be working perfectly and are as smooth as silk. The bore is fairly bright with strong rifling throughout and only patchy slight roughness in some of the grooves, quite decent. This rifle comes with Cody Museum letter based on factory records verifying the caliber and configuration. A straightforward example in a nearly impossible to find caliber/configuration.
