Description:
A.H. Fox Gun Co. Phila Pa U.S.A. This is an early version of the Fox Sterlingworth which has a hinge pin that makes the gun look a bit like the Parker. The action is clean and tight with double triggers, auto safe, no case color remains, screws are straight, standing breech is clean with no pitting. The barrels are 30" with good blue, Sterlingworth Fluid Compressed Steel marked, 2 3/4" chambers original, bores are clean and measure to original .722 Right, .723 Left and chokes of Imp Cyl and Imp Mod or .010/.030, no dents or bulges. The stocks are very clean, pistol grip with a factory cap and splinter fore end, 14 1/4" length of pull, Modern dimensions of 2 5/8" drop at heel, 1 5/8" drop at comb, Chequering on the fore end is worn, strong on the grip, the wood is not oil soaked and there are no cracks.
