Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Presented here is an outstanding Smith & Wesson Model 25-5 double action revolver chambered in .45 Colt caliber. The Model 25, and all of its permutations, from the original firearm was produced from 1955 through 1991 before it was retired. The cartridges it was chambered in were either .45 ACP, .45 Long Colt, or .45 Auto Rim. Depending on the “dash number” or engineering change, if you were at a loss for what your Model 25 was chambered in, the exact model name could tell you. Generally, odd dash numbered models were in .45 Long Colt while even ones were in .45 ACP: Odd Dash Numbered Models in .45 Long Colt – (3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13) Even Dash Numbered Models in .45 ACP – (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12) This particular example is in outstanding condition having a 6 inch pinned barrel with a minty bore and strong rifling. Being a 25-5 makes it just the second ideration in .45 Colt. Sights are a ramped front with red insert and a target adjustable rear. The checkering on the hammer and cylinder release are sharp and minty....the grooved trigger is minty. The hammer and trigger both retain strong color. The walnut grip panels are in outstanding condition with sharp checkering and S&W medallions. Bluing is very deep and rich. This fine Smith & Wesson Model 25-5 would make a great addition to a collection and a very good investment.
