Description:
For consideration is a Molot VEPR-12 semi auto shotgun in 12 gauge. The Vepr-12 is a multipurpose semi-automatic detachable-magazine shotgun, produced by Molot-Oruzhie Ltd. It is patterned after the original Kalashnikov rifle and built on the heavier RPK light machine gun receiver. The Vepr-12 is intended to be a direct competitor to the widely popular Saiga-12 shotgun already produced by Izhmash. Like the Saiga, the Vepr-12 was designed to be a versatile weapons platform, capable of being used by hunters and professional shooters alike. With these considerations in mind, Molot introduced unique features, such as the ambidextrous safety selector, the bolt hold-open mechanism and a simplified magazine feeding mechanism. This particular example is in good overall condition exhibiting some handling marks from light usage. The handguard has been replaced with a Carolina Shooters Supply quad rail system which gives plenty of options for attaching lights, lasers, bipod etc.. The top of the receiver of course has picatinny rail which would make mounting a red dot sight a simple matter. The barrel without the muzzle break is 18" and has a good bore. This hard to find Molot would make a great addition to a collection or a solid home defense firearm. Unfortunately no magazine with this one.
