Description:
This beautiful Browning Superposed Lightening has got to be the best deal in our store right now. This classic 20 gauge field gun has 28 inch barrels, choked skeet and skeet, and weighs just 6.5 lbs; light enough to carry all day, but with longer barrels for better follow thru on quick moving game. This Superposed was made in 1960, meaning it predates any "salt wood" issues. It is known as a round knob, long tang version (RKLT), and has attractive, mineral streaked wood features. On original purchase at our store, it was assumed that the black buttstock extension had resulted in a modified stock that was less useful and lower in value. Upon closer examination, we discovered that the recoil pad and extension are easily removed, and that installation of a new, regular 1 inch premium recoil pad would result in a very functional LOP of approximately 14 1/4 inches. While we cannot make that change ourselves, our mistake becomes your gain! This sweet shotgun is priced significantly lower than similar, unmodified Superposed's on the market.
