Description: Serial #41622, 12 GA (2 5/8" chambers), 30 inch Stub Twist Damascus steel barrels with pitted bores choked about improved cylinder in each tube. This is a standard grade external hammer side-by-side manufactured by Parker Brothers with straight grip marked “PARKER BROS" on the side plates built in 1884 on a #2 frame. The classic double is in very good condition with solid rib, Stub Twist Damascus barrels that read “PARKER BROS. MAKERS MERIDEN CONN. STUB TWIST" showing much of the original twist pattern now a pleasing plum-brown. There is one small dent on the left tube about 11 inches from the muzzle that should be seen by a competent gun smith before firing along with some other very small use marks and impact marks around the muzzle. The receiver is mostly an aged plum brown with clear markings. The stock and forearm have worn smooth the original checkering with two large cracks on the left side of the wrist near the trigger guard and lock plate. The barrels are very slightly off face but lock up tight with lever resting just left of center. The hammers cock and fire properly. It has a 14 inch LOP with drops of 2 1/4" and 3" at the comb and heel respectively. A very nice old Parker that could be restored to former glory with a little work.
