NSN, circa 1861-1862, .52 caliber, 32.75"" round barrel. Only 700 of these rifles were manufactured with 600 being picked up by the Navy during the Civil War. Barrel and Breech are a dark grey patina with pin-prick surface oxidation noted. Bore is surprisingly good with strong rifling visible. Frame is a light grey patina with markings present. Walnut stock is very good with light wear noted. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
