Description: Vintage FR. V.D. Kohler Solingen Germany five-piece carving set. Matching stag handles with animal carvings. 10.75" clever has a boar carved on the handle, and etched blade with three red stag scene. Marked "Stainless” and “Solingen Germany" and. 11" shears have a carved grouse on the handle. 10.25" two prong fork has a carved ram on handle with a fork blade marked "Stainless". 12.5" knife has a carved stag on the handle, similar scene on blade, and marked "Stainless steel Solingen." 12" sharpener has a carved hare on the handle and is marked "Solingen Germany." Also included six knives 8 ¾” and six forks 7 ½” with red stags and chamois carvings. Purchased in Germany in the early 1950s by Donald Johnson, US Army, and then sent back to Spokane, WA as a gift for his parents. Slightly used but great for use or display.
