CASED ABERCROMBIE & FITCH BELGIUM BROWNING SUPERPOSED GRADE III "FIGHTING COCKS" 28" O/U GAME SHOTGUN, CIRCA 1958. Serial number "60XXX" and all matching. 28" barrels choked Mod/Full and so marked on barrels. Correct vent rib with end bead and mint mirror bright bores. Factory deluxe wood cast for RH and having LOP of 14 1/4" over factory Browning buttpate. Escutchecon oval with ONE owners name (read about owner at end of description). Checkering crisp still with signs of responsible use. All markings and addresses crisp as still has original finish along with FELIX FUNKEN engraved fighting cocks, setter with bird in mouth and pheasants on right side. In original A&F "toe-in" travel case with brass engraved luggage tag, oiler, etc still in case. Case is embossed to original owner as well. This gun belonged to prominent Sherwin family member in OHIO of the Sherwin Williams paint dynasty. He was hunting comtemporary of Pres. Eisenhower among others. Superb little used Belgian Browning Grade III in orig. case straight from family.
