Description:
Serial #563480, .38 Special, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, yoke, and extractor. The metal retains 95-97% of the original blue finish with some fading at the muzzle, as well as silvering along the high edges and projections. There is a light turn-ring on the cylinder, and the trigger and hammer retain a commensurate amount of the original color case-hardening, with the edges faded to a mild pewter gray patina. The checkered, diamond-center grips are not numbered (although a previous owner’s initials are carved inside the left panel: "XK"), and are in fine condition with only some small handling marks, and little flattening of the points. This is a very nice S&W .38 Hand Ejector, and rates excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
