This National Postal Meter Model U.S. Carbine M1 is a right hand semi-auto rifle in .30 Carbine Cal. It has an 18 inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is a smooth grip two piece hardwood. Serial Number 1517710. The barrel is stamped Inland Mfg. Div., General Motors and 1-44. .30 Carbine
