Western Field Shotgun by Iver Johnson Model 19.
Most likely sold by Montgomery Ward or Western Auto.
16 Gauge - Choke Bore Barrel and Lug Forged with Serial #IV26024XI and a
Solid Rib / One Barrel Single Shot Gun . Barrel is 30 inches long.
I believe this shotgun was made between 1920 & 1940.
25 to 30% of case coloring remains on gun receiver. I have taken several pictures of the receiver but the case colors just do nog show up. In real life they are very faint. Barrel is factory blued/no rust. Inside barrel is mirror perfect.
I refinished the stock and forearm of this shotgun during the month of July 2018. If you’ve been looking for a single shot shotgun to hunt squirrels with you’ll be hard pressed to find a nicer one for the price I’m asking.
