1892 OCTAGON RIFLE IN .32-20, #489XXX, MADE 1909. Fine example showing near full coverage deep barrel and magazine blue. The barrel is fitted with a flat top buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar and a Marble 2 S small blade/ivory bead front sight. The receiver shows fine aged blue fairly evenly mixing plum/brown and fine blue on the bolt and loading gate. Excellent screw heads. Excellent markings including the scarce "MOD. 1892" stamping just behind the hammer on the upper tang. Fine wood with good wood to metal fit and showing the lightest of handling. Fairly bright bore with fine rifling and any scattered roughness minor and surface. Tight action with strong safety half-cock on the hammer. An attractive 1892 that recently came out of Arizona.
