Absolutely stunning Browning Superposed rounded frame Combination Gun. Gun is a 20ga over 9.3x74R made with 26" barrel and has solid top rib as seen in the photos. Gun made with Schnabel tipped superlight forend, panel scene & fully engraved frame. The long tang flat knob pistol grip stock with fabulous figure and terminates with its original buttplate. Gun is housed in its original numbers matching box. Accompanying the gun is a number of letters detailing the history of the gun and how it was found in the FN Custom shop in the early 1980's by noted collector Thomas J. Koessl. The gun was built to celebrate the 1,000 year anniversary of the City of Liege and engraved as such.
The gun remains in near mint original condition and appears factory test fired only. Virtually all original finishes remaining. Box is excellent. Provenance is fascinating and the gun is worthy of the most discerning collection.
