Description:
Springfield Model 1878 Trapdoor Rifle in .45-70. SN #320291. Mfg. in 1891. LOP 13 1/4". 32" Barrel with an EXCELLENT Bright Bore with STRONG RIFLING. The Blued Metal is in VERY GOOD condition with a NICE PATINA and no pitting or damage. The Walnut Stock is in EXCELLENT condition for the age of the gun with some normal handling marks. Clear markings and Stock Cartouche of "SWP 1891". Buffington Rear Sight. Round Pull-out Bayonet. Small Brass Medallion with "34" attached to stock just behind lower tang, most likely a Rack Number. As an ANTIQUE, No FFL is need to purchase and can be shipped directly to buyer. Also available for INTERNATIONAL SALES / SHIPPING. Weight: 10 lbs. Trigger Pull: 6 lbs.
