RARE ALLEN AND WHEELOCK 1862 NAVY, CAL. .62, SER. "218". WITH ONLY 500 EVER MADE. THIS VERY CLEVER DESIGN USES THE TRIGGER GUARD AND AN INTERNAL RATCHET TO DO THE RAMMER'S JOB. ADDITIONALLY THERE IS A SIMPLE WAY TO REMOIVE THE CYLINDE BY MERELY PRESSING ON THE THE SMALL LEVER UNDER THE CYLINDER ROD AND REMOVING IT. IT HAS REAINED ABOUT 30% OF THE ORIGINAL BLUE SCATTERED AT RECESSED LOCATIONS. THE BALANCE HAS ACQUIRED A SILVER BRONZE PATINA .THE TOP OF THE BARREL DOES HAVE SOME SMALL PATCHES OF SURFACE PITS. ALL PARTS ARE ORIGINAL TO THE GUN. THE WOODEN GRIPS APPEAR TO HAVE RETAINED ABOUT 90% 0F THE ORIGINAL LACQUER, THERE ARE NO REAL SPLITS OR DINGS.
