6-Shot Revolver with GERMAN SILVER GRIPS
Here we present an antique Engraved Ring Trigger Percussion Pepperbox Revolver. It was expressly made for self-defense, giving the shooter 6 shots of .31 caliber without having to cock a hammer.
Made with an underhammer and ring trigger, the percussion nipples were integrated to the barrels. As these were considered “point and shoot” short range defensive weapons or “belly guns”, the market did not seem to object to the limitation of not having sights.
The overall condition is good. Strong action. Good bores. This example has been engraved with traditional floral design. Both German silver grips remain in good shape.
