Description:
Offered for sale is a John Derr marked Pennsylvania Kentucky flint lock smoothe bore. Full stocked with 4 inlays, quality workmanship and original condition. Bbl is part octagon and part round measuring 41.5 inches long with a very clear and excellent stamped bbl mark, smoothe bore with an approx diameter of 50-54 caliber. Overall length of this rifle is approx 57 inches. Plain brass patch box which is dented see photos and brass wear plate. My limited research shows Derr as a prolific maker from BERKS County. This rifle is in a condition consistent with its age which is estimated at pre 1820's. Please look at photos carefully and ask questions if you have them.
