Description:
Offered for sale is a hard to find pennsylavania Kentucky rifle made by John Shell. This maker has been attributed with making rifles in both Perry and Dauphin County Pennsylvania Shell is also known for numbering his guns. This one is number 423. Barrel is 33" and is set with a Goulcher percussion lock. Estimated at approx 36-40 caliber with a unique brass wear plate. This rifle has a few cracks in the stock as can be seen in the photos and condition is consistent with age. Stock also includes three inlays.
