"Serial number 112549. Made in 1884. 45 LC caliber with a 7 ½" barrel. This is a very fine example. The barrel has 70% -80% of the original blue. The frame still has lots of case colors. The grips are very fine. This is a gun issued to the New York Militia. It has markings on the grips and on the butt of the gun that this gun was issued to Troop C which was stationed in Brooklyn. This gun comes with a letter of authentication from noted Colt Single Action expert John Kopec. He declares it all original and awarded this gun the coveted Golden seal reserved for only the original and finest guns at Mr. Kopec’s discretion.
