"Serial number 114560. Made in 1885. 45 LC caliber with a 5 ½" barrel. This is an exceptional example of an artillery model with 95% + of the original blue on the barrel. The frame has excellent case colors. Grips are excellent. This gun comes with a letter of authentication from noted Colt Single Action expert John Kopec. He declares it all original and awarded this gun the coveted Golden seal reserved for only the original and finest guns at Mr. Kopec’s discretion. Mr. Kopec says this is possible a rough rider gun. This gun is all matching except the barrel. The host gun that the barrel is numbered to was shipped the same day as this gun in the same shipment and was issued to the Rough Riders. So there is a pretty good chance this gun could have made it there as well.
