Description:
"Serial number 116661. Made in 1885. 45 LC caliber with a 5 1/8" barrel. The barrel has been shortened from its original length of 7 ½". This gun is still a cavalry and was not converted to an artillery model. The barrel has approximately 30% of the original blue mixed with a dark gray patina. The frame has a dark gray patina with some traces of original case color in protected areas. Grips show a fair amount of ear with good visible cartouches. This gun comes with a letter of authentication from noted Colt Single Action expert John Kopec. Mr. Kopec points out the alterations made to this gun in his letter.
