"Serial number 44112. Made circa 1870s- 1880s. 44 Russian caliber with a 6 ½" barrel. This gun is beautifully engraved. The engraving is nice and sharp with mostly scroll work. The left hand side of the frame features a dog’s head while the right hand side has an eagle’s head. This gun is silver plated with a gold plated cylinder and small parts. The grips are beautiful pearls. Very fine Smith and Wesson 3rd Model Russian!
