Description:
This gorgeous 2nd issue 1969 Colt Detective Special, is a six-shot, carbon steel framed, 2-inch barreled, double-action revolver, chambered in .38 special and is the first example of a class of firearms known as "snub nose revolvers". Made by Colt's Manufacturing Company, this model revolver, as the name "Detective Special" suggests, was intended to be a concealed weapon used by plainclothes police detectives. The condition overall is remarkably excellent for its age with a barely visible drag line on the cylinder that indicates this one was fired very little if ever.
