This is a semi-auto build of a Belgian FN FAL from an Imbel made receiver on a German G1 parts kit. The FAL (a French acronym for Fusil Automatique Léger (English: "Light Automatic Rifle")) is a battle rifle designed in Belgium in 1953 by Dieudonné Saive and manufactured by FN Herstal (simply known as FN). During the Cold War the FAL was adopted by many countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), with the notable exception of the United States. It is one of the most widely used rifles in history, having been used by more than 90 countries. It is chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO,These were originally built by FN for the German Border Guard, but was ultimately superseded by the German manufactured H&K G3 as the Belgians were unwilling to license the rifle to be manufactured in Germany. The sights are adjustable from 200 meters to 700 meters. It is equiped with a gas port adjuster on top of the barrel which regulates the amount of gas entering the system depending on conditions. Comes with one original metric issue 20 round box magazine. This is a nice military FN FAL battle rifle to add to a collection or a very nice rifle to use at the range. This rifle is in very good condition overall and works perfectly. The bore is very good with strong rifling. One magazine comes with the rifle.
